Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) Alexa is now being incorporated into more computers, devices, and gadgets including those made by other companies that don’t affiliate with Amazon. Coming this year, a couple of Windows PC manufacturers announced new computers to be launched that will support the voice assistant, Alexa. Last year, Amazon proposed a partnership with Microsoft that would allow Alexa and Microsoft’s Cortana voice assistant to hold a conversation on Windows 10 PCs. Now, companies like HP, Asus, and Acer has announced new computers that will support Alexa at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week.
New PCs such as Acer’s lineup will include special hardware that will allow Alexa to respond to commands quicker and hear voices better over loud music. Coming later this year, these computers will use a new Alexa app for Windows 10. Recently, Amazon has maintained their footing in the electronics industry by introducing Alexa into as much hardware as possible, topping other rivals such as Apple and Google. This new partnership with Windows PCs will definitely expose more consumers to purchase more items that use the Alexa assistant.
