The value of sports has shown impressive strength and growth in value over the years. The sports market in North America was worth $60.5 billion in 2014. It is expected to reach $73.5 billion by 2019, Forbes has reported. A major portion of the revenue is generated through sports media rights, the value of which is projected to reach $20.6 billion by 2019 compound annual rate increase of 7.2%. Most significant current local television rights deals are with the National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and Major League Baseball.
There are many opportunities to become involved in the popular sports market. Champions Basketball League has created a new brand of sports with unique programming putting emphasis on the fans of the sport. This is a 16-team professional summer basketball league begins in July of 2017 with a Championship in September, and every player recently played in the NBA.
Champions Basketball League has revealed that in addition to the summer league the company will host year-round charity events, camps and community-based programs in all 50 states and connect fans and athletes through a marketing model with tickets priced at just $25 that include a meet & greet and a pregame youth shoot-around with the players. The games will be broadcasted on ESPN.
