The state department released over 40,000 emails that were uncovered by the FBI during an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use on classified information on a private email server as secretary of state. In July, the FBI recommended that Hillary not be prosecuted as Hillary said there was no evidence that those emails were “intentionally deleted”.
Final Release of Emails
This morning the FBI had released 100 pages that recorded the final pieces of information on the investigation of Hillary’s use of the private email domain. The records included notes and summaries on what was deleted.
“I want the American people to know we really did this the right way. You can disagree with us, but you cannot fairly say we did it in any kind of political way,” Comey said in July. “We don’t carry water for anybody. We were trying to do what the right thing is.”
Many Republicans have criticized this decision as well as Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. The FBI ensures the American people that this move was apolitical.
