Multi-Color Corp. (NASDAQ: LABL) gained over 7% on Tuesday as a result of Q4 and Full Year reports becoming available. MCC reports an Earnings per Share increase of 12% or $0.39 from 2016 and has seen its market shares jump as a result.
"Fiscal 2017 core EPS increased $0.39 compared to the prior year, consistent with stated expectations of $0.40 per annum. Fiscal 2018 provides further organic revenue growth opportunities in the 3-5% range and increased acquisitions revenue opportunities with our lowest leverage in over five years," said Nigel Vinecombe, Executive Chairman of Multi-Color Corporation.
The current EPS posted by MCC is $3.58 per share. With Q4 EPS being valued at $0.98, a whole $0.14 over the street estimates according to RTTNews.
The company also reported a 102% increase in net income in the current quarter when compared with the prior year quarter, and increase valued at $8.4 million.
The corporation also reported an increase in revenue as from organic growth as well as the completion of consolidation activities in California, Ireland as well as Scotland. Gross profit margin also jumped exponentially from 2016, from 0.4% to 21.3%, with a gross profit increase of 8% or $15.2 million over the last year, with $9.9 million coming from acquisitions.
This comes as good news for the company, having also set a 2017 high with the potential to break the 52 week high.
