Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) has become the top grossing iPhone app in the U.S. according to a report released Monday. In September 2015, the video streaming service had introduced a feature for apple users, allowing them to sign up for the service via app rather than the website.
Since in-app purchases were introduced, net revenue on a weekly basis has grown from under $50,000 to almost $2.9 million. Monthly iPhone operating system (iOS) revenue for Netflix has been growing at an average of 19 percent per month since November 2015, reported SensorTower.
Netflix’s focus on growing its mobile service and new users reflect in their revenues. Last month, Netflix had introduced a feature to allow users to download shows and watch them “offline”, in an attempt to attract users that don’t have access to a great connection for their video streaming service. Netflix continues to make steps to expand their reach to all consumers.
