Nintendo (NTDOF) has announced today that they are bring back the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is coming back to the world in the form of the new mini NES Classic Edition. The original system was home to iconic games such as Super Mario Bros. and the Legend of Zelda. Nintendo sold nearly 62 million NES units and 500 million software units for the console.
The new mini NES Classic Edition will be released in November. The new console will come with 30 built-in games some of the games are Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. (both version 2 and 3), Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby’s adventure.
This news comes following the popularity of the new Pokemon Go app. The console is set up your television via a HDMI cable. The console comes with a control modeled and played like the iconic controller. The controller can also connect to a Wii Remote. This allows you to play Virtual Console games on a Wii or Wii U.
According to TheVerge, the NES Classic Edition will be available on November 11th for $59.99. According to CNN, two additional controllers will sold by Nintendo for two-player mode.Nintendo will sell additional controllers separately ($10) to work with two-player modes.
