“We are an entrepreneurial airline, we are an entrepreneurial company, and we hope to play our part in really helping the mayor make this city absolutely great again. It’s seems to be well on the way,” said Branson. He has personally founded over 400 businesses in his career including Virgin Atlantic. The new airline will be a service between Detroit and London, and will feature a new, more environmentally friendly aircraft that launched on July 1st.
Virgin and Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) are partnered to fly nearly 155,000 passengers between Metro and Heathrow airports.
