On Thursday, the U.S. government had issued a summons to obtain information on a user account on twitter that was opposed to Donald Trump’s immigration policies. Twitter had retaliated by filing a federal lawsuit to block the government’s demand for user information.
According to the lawsuit filed in San Francisco federal court, the twitter account in question was the work of at least one federal immigration employee. Twitter had pulled the lawsuit against the U.S. government as new court papers claimed that the U.S. government had retracted their demand for information on the user account.
