Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) reported plans to open its first fulfillment center in Papillion, Nebraska. The fulfillment center is anticipated to launch in 2021 and create 1,000 full time jobs with benefits. Employees will work with Amazon robotics to handle small items, picking, packing and shipping to customers.
Amazon Employees have innovative programs such as Career Choice, where Amazon will pay up to 95% of tuition expenses for courses related to high demand fields. Since the program’s launch, over 25,000 employees in Amazon have pursued degrees in visual communications and game design, IT programing, radiology, nursing etc.
