AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC) reported that it has welcome its one millionth movie guest to enjoy the big screen at AMC Theatres throughout the United States. In less than 3 weeks the company has witnessed significant seating capacity that uphold the seating capacity restrictions in place of between 25% and 40% of maximum capacity. The amount of attendees on a global scale jump to 4,000,000 which includes the AMC owned cinemas in Europe and Middle East that resumed in June and July.
The company has also announced that in surveys of returning U.S. guests that scores for theatre cleanliness is at all-time highs, beating previous scores The rise in cleanliness scores is due to the rise of mandatory social distancing, mask wearing and use of disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizers. This does not limit the use of electrostatic sprayers and numerous other safety and cleanliness procedures that are in play at the AMC theatres.

That’s 1,000,000 who have enjoyed a socially distanced big-screen experience, through automatic seat blocking and with a maximum capacity restriction of between 25% and 40% of total seats per auditorium. We are also heartened that our guest survey scores for AMC theatre cleanliness hit an all-time high in the decades and decades that we have been keeping such records. After a five-month closure in the United States, the movie theatre industry is finally now starting on its way back.”
