Apple may Introduce Siri Speaker in June, Analyst says

Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) may launch its first smart home assistant at its developer conference this June.

"There is an over 50 percent chance that Apple will announce its first home AI product at WWDC in June," KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a note to investors, MacRumors reported on Monday.

Amazon.com, Inc. and Google are Apple’s biggest competitors in this market. Amazon Echo is a smart speaker developed by Amazon. It connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more.

Apple’s first home AI product will be powered by Siri, but it is unclear how it looks like.

Apple’s speaker could benefit from its existing products, including Siri, music streaming service and its smart home platform, Apple HomeKit. While the Amazon Echo and Google Home both use some third-party applications.

However, Kuo also said the product is likely to be positioned for the high-end market and better entertainment experience. The price may be higher than its rivals.

Apple are scheduled to release earnings this week. The stock is up as much as 2.4 percent to $147.1 on Monday.
