Broward Healths Gino Santorio, Alan Goldsmith and Diana Arteaga Recognized among Beckers Healthcare Leaders under 40

Broward Health saw three of its executives recognized in Becker’s
Healthcare Rising Stars: 90 Healthcare Leaders under 40. Gino Santorio,
executive vice president, chief operating officer; Alan Goldsmith,
executive vice president, chief financial officer; and Diana Arteaga,
Esq., vice president, government relations and community affairs; were
acknowledged as the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Individuals on the list
are nominated based on their achievements within executive positions at
hospitals, health systems and health IT companies across the country.
They were recognized for their innovative approach to patient care and
health system improvement.

“Gino, Alan, and Diana are proven leaders who are impacting the future
of healthcare,” said Broward Health President/CEO Beverly Capasso. “They
are committed to making a difference in our community. We are proud to
have these outstanding leaders as part of our Broward Health team.”

Santorio is responsible for the daily operations of Broward Health – a
1,529-bed organization with 8,430 employees and 1,399 clinicians on the
active medical staff – one of the largest public health systems in the
country. He ensures proper operational controls are in place system-wide
and sets comprehensive goals for the health system to maximize
performance.

Goldsmith helped lead Broward Health’s annual incentive plan for
managers to reinvest budget surpluses back into the system, and is also
overseeing the financial phase of two major construction expansion
projects: a $65 million expansion of Broward Health Coral Springs and a
$52 million expansion and renovation of Broward’s Salah Foundation
Children’s Hospital in Fort Lauderdale.

Arteaga is an attorney specializing in governmental affairs, overseeing
the legislative efforts for Broward Health. She previously served as the
director of government relations for the City of Miami, the largest
municipality of Miami-Dade County. The National League of Cities
appointed her to the Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental
Relations Committee to advocate for its interests in Washington, D.C.
