powering the Right-Now Enterprise with the always-on, distributed cloud
database built on Apache Cassandra™, announced the appointment of Bethany
Mayer, Executive Partner at Siris Capital Group and independent
board member of both Marvell Semiconductor and Sempra Energy, to its
board of directors.

“Bethany comes to us with a proven track record as a public company CEO
and excellent board member experience as well as a deep understanding of
enterprise infrastructure,” said Billy
Bosworth, CEO of DataStax. “Our revenue is in excess of $100M and
one of the keys to sustaining our growth is a strong market presence.
Bethany’s marketing and executive experiences are particularly suited to
helping us with that opportunity. And I am particularly excited about
how her enterprise background at Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, and Ixia will
help us better serve the enterprises who turn to us for innovative new
approaches to data management in a hybrid cloud world.”

“DataStax has proven a strong partner and database provider to some of
the world’s biggest and best-known enterprises spanning beloved consumer
brands and B2B titans,” said Bethany Mayer. “I am excited to join the
board of directors of DataStax at this time of strong growth and big
opportunity–and I’m particularly enthusiastic to work with my
colleagues on the board and Billy as CEO to help elevate and extend the
DataStax brand and deliver outsized business results to DataStax
enterprise customers.”
