Facebook Co-Founder Contributes to Politics to Defeat Trump

Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) co-founder, billionaire Dustin Moskovitz announced that he is going contribute $20 million to politics. The Silicon Valley entrepreneur has decided to become a player on the political arena with a goal of helping to defeat the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Dustin Moskovitz contribution will be going to the League of Conservation Voters and to a political action committee called For Our Future, a group with a goal of increasing voter turnout in battleground states.

On a website called “Compelled to Act” Dustin wrote about Trump’s appeal to Americans who feel left behind, saying that “Donald Trump’s promises to this group are quite possibly a deliberate con, an attempt to rally energy and support without the ability or intention to deliver. His proposals are so implausible that the nation is forced to worry that his interest in the presidency might not even extend beyond winning a contest and promoting his personal brand.”

“As a nation, we need to figure out how to bring everyone with us, and we believe the Democratic platform currently is more aligned with ensuring that happens,” he wrote.
