Facebook Opens First Training Center in America

On Monday, Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ: FB) announced their first training center located in Latin America for coders and entrepreneurs encouraging technology careers for middle aged Brazilians dealing with unemployment after a deep economic crisis. The center will be located in a space in mid town Sao Paulo called Estacao Hack.

One in four Brazilians between the ages of 18 and 24 were jobless at the start of this year marking it the country’s worst downturn on record which stunted the careers of a generation of young workers.

The center is to be 1,000 square meters in space and will be open by December offering free coding courses, career guidance, digital marketing workshops, and entrepreneur training for 7,400 Brazilians in the first year.
