The Presidential hopeful has been working her way through the email scandal that broke out last year. Senator Clinton has been dodging a range of questions both, from the media and many of her voter bases across the United States of America. Senator Clinton has much to lose in light of the email controversy, especially now, since she has been declared the Democratic nomination for the upcoming Presidential elections of the United States of America.
A new phase
The controversy began when Senator Clinton had used a personal email and server to exchange official and highly confidential and sensitive emails. This incident occurred during the Senator’s term as Secretary of State. The emails were traced to Clinton’s personal server in her house. This worsened the situation as she had breached the protocol for all sitting Secretaries of State. The controversy landed Clinton in a bit of a soup, especially because of all her political enemies who chastised her on grounds of incompetence. Many critics of Clinton mentioned that she was unfit for the position of Secretary of State due to such callous behavior. However, even more staunch critics claim that there was a hint of treachery in Senator Clinton’s motive.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation have been actively investigating the scenario in light of the scandal. The FBI have so far, not found any trace of treachery or espionage against the United States of America. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security was also involved in the investigation of the case. Most of Senator Clinton’s emails were retrieved, and there didn’t seem to be any sign of foul play involved. The case has nonetheless become a hotly contested topic in more recent times.
A possible Waterloo?
Many political analysts and pundits claim that the final haul of Senator Clinton’s Presidential campaign will get tougher, especially since the special investigation team of the FBI is now going into overdrive. The political experts claim that Clinton’s campaign will be lashed from every end, and the email scandal will definitely be raised time and again. Additionally, many state that the Republican nominee for the Presidential race may be a lot more incendiary than Clinton’s Democratic peers in the primary race. Clinton denies any foul play and claims that she acted on instinct in the best interest of the country.
