Goldman Sachs has two Executives in mind for CEO

Goldman Sachs wish to replace current CEO Gary Cohn, with two executives that will share the chief operating officer role. Cohn is leaving Goldman Sachs to join Donald Trump’s economic policy team. David Solomon and Harvey Schwartz will be co-chief operating officers as of January 1st.

Schwartz, who is chief financial officer will remain until the end of April when R. Martin Chavez will take over the position. Solomon is co-head of the company’s investment banking division. Both executives will be presidents of Goldman Sachs Group as well.

Trump recruited Cohn as national economic council director and assistant to the president for economic policy. Cohn will help shape the administration’s economic agenda. With over 25 years of experience at Goldman Sachs, Cohn seems like a top pick in Trump’s economic policy team.
