Google Brain Co Founder Bringing AI to Manufacturing

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL) Brain Co-Founder Andrew Ng introduces Landing.ai to help firms in the manufacturing sector incorporate artificial intelligence to their businesses, ultimately transforming them into future AI companies. Ng has also served head of Baidu’s AI efforts and believes that manufacturing has multiple issues that machine learning techniques can help with that will bring AI to potentially transform the industry.

Landing.ai will create and provide software for manufacturing firms as well as offer educational materials to help employees and executives take advantage of new tools. The company already developed a visual inspection system that uses images from a camera to identify defects in products that is much more accurate and efficient than humans can complete.

Businesses working with Landing.ai could also access technical experts in the field without having to pay for an entire team of data scientists. The company is fully committed to training employees to help transition into an AI powered future and already is in the process of pursuing multiple clients focusing on firms in the U.S., China, and Japan. Ng is also looking to move into other sectors such as logistics in the near future.
