Hospitals are vulnerable to cyber-attacks because the existing tech systems are becoming increasingly complicated. Hospital staff relies on mobile devices, along with monitoring equipment. The proliferation of IoT medical devices demands threat prevention methods. Cadula, a California-based medical IoT security company, and Prima Healthcare partnered in April 2019 to deploy cybersecurity solutions for biomedical devices, across hospitals in the United States.
