Interpreta, Inc., the real-time healthcare quality analytics company, announced today it was certified for the seventh consecutive year by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Interpreta was certified for full Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) in Measure Year 2020 (MY2020), and by NCQA for Integrated Healthcare Association’s (IHA) Align. Measure. Perform. (AMP) Measure Certification for MY2020. NCQA HEDIS and AMP certifications ensure data accuracy, which is critical for health plans, provider organizations, and others that rely on quality measurement data to make decisions for quality reporting and inform value-based contracting.
NCQA Measure Certification™ provides the industry’s most rigorous assessment. In 2020, they added significant changes to measure specifications, impacting over 40 measures. Changes included multiple measure retirements, new measures, and new data elements, such as telehealth. Interpreta collaborated with health plans, MSOs, and healthcare provider partners throughout 2020 to address these changes, study measure behaviors and gather user interface suggestions, which provided invaluable “real-world” feedback on its analytics engine’s ability to improve quality scores. As Interpreta works to deploy HEDIS, AMP, CMS, QRS, and state quality measures into user databases, it continually updates and enhances its analytics engine to empower users to achieve the best possible healthcare outcomes for their members.
“We are acutely aware that our physician, MSO, and health plan partners can’t afford any downtime, particularly during a pandemic. They rely on a continually updated, real-time diagnostic view of patient populations to provide the highest quality care,” said Interpreta Chief Executive Officer Sachin Patel. “Interpreta had a busy year supporting our client partners through some of the challenges presented by the pandemic – demonstrating the strength of our analytics engine and cloud-based platform and its ability to support continuous business operations through a global crisis. Our platform enabled disparate teams from around the country to collaborate on patient care whether team members were working from an office, a clinical setting, or their homes. We look forward to continuing to support our partners as we all look to a brighter 2021.”
NCQA’s Measure Certification™ is a precise, automated testing program that verifies compliance with HEDIS® and AMP specifications and satisfies the source code review portion of the NCQA HEDIS Compliance Audit™ and AMP compliance review, respectively.
