Microsoft Announces Launch of AI-powered Bing Search Engine and Edge Browser

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) has announced launch of an all new AI-powered Bing search engine and Edge browser. It is now available at Bing.com to deliver better search and complete answers. This includes a new chat experience and the ability to generate content. “AI will fundamentally change every software category, starting with the largest category of all – search,” said Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, Microsoft. “Today, we’re launching Bing and Edge powered by AI copilot and chat, to help people get more from search and the web.”

There are over 10 billion search queries a day but are estimated that half of them go unanswered. Search, browsing and chat have been unified in an experience you can invoke anywhere on the web. This will deliver better search, complete answers, a new chat experience and inspiration. The new Microsoft Edge experience will have new AI capabilities and a new look as chat and compose have been added.

Through its new OpenAI model, the new Bing experience is more powerful than ChatGPT and customized for search. The Microsoft Prometheus model will work with the OpenAI model to allow to leverage its power. This combination gives more relevant, timely and targeted results with improved safety.

Microsoft with OpenAI have been implementing safeguards to protect against harmful content.
