Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced an extended strategic partnership with BT in 5G Networking after its selection as a 5G RAN vendor for the company. The deal will make Nokia BT’s largest equipment provider as Nokia will provide services an equipment at BT radio sites across the UK to evolve the company’s radio access network to 5G and to strengthen the company’s goal of maintaining as the UK’s best network.
The company’s Nokia powered network is located in UK, which includes Greater London, the Midlands and rural locations will be extended to other towns and cities across the UK. Nokia will supply its S-RAN for outdoor and indoor coverage. This will enable BT to continue to build on its existing network leadership within the UK and deliver connectivity and capacity benefits to consumers at low latencies and reduce complications and increase cost efficiencies.

Nokia will provide digital design and deployment to quicken services to market an optimize technical support services.
