PharmScript, a leading pharmacy provider to long-term and post-acute care facilities, today announced that EVP of Pharmacy Operations and Customer Success Mindy Ferris has been selected as the 2021 American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) Women’s Spotlight Award winner.
ASCP is a membership association that represents pharmacists, health care professionals, and students serving the unique medication needs of older adults. The society’s mission is to promote healthy aging by empowering pharmacists with education, resources, and innovative opportunities. Both ASCP and PharmScript seek to support pharmacists so that they can deliver the highest level of care to the patients they serve.
Each year ASCP honors and acknowledges outstanding individuals and companies in senior care pharmacy. Award finalists and winners are honored during the ASCP Annual Meeting and Exhibition’s Richard Berman Leadership Awards Reception.
When asked what this award means to her, Mindy Ferris expressed, “It is truly an honor. I am grateful for ASCP and for my colleagues at PharmScript. I could not have carried out the COVID-19 initiatives without the help of many supportive and dedicated colleagues. I feel very fortunate to work for a company that recognizes the importance of focusing on patient care and always putting employees and residents first.”
From the outset of the pandemic, Ferris has led PharmScript’s COVID-19 task force, overseeing COVID-19 policies and procedures in the 24 states PharmScript services. In addition to her behind-the-scenes contributions, Ferris was also among the first front-line volunteers to immunize long-term care residents in Ohio.
“Mindy is a remarkable professional who has been an empowering voice for pharmacists and others in long-term care,” said Justin Craigie, Chief Operating Officer at PharmScript. “As EVP of Pharmacy Operations and Customer Success at PharmScript, she actively listens to customers, creatively problem solves, and maintains a deep knowledge of industry best practices all to ensure our customers and their residents receive the best care possible. This award is a well-deserved recognition of her skills, qualifications, and talents.”
Ferris holds a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and is a registered pharmacist in multiple states including Ohio, North Carolina, and Virginia.
