Qualcomm Technologies and Reliance Jio to Develop 5G Solutions

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Reliance Jio Platforms with its subsidiary Radisys Corporation reported their focus on developing 5G solutions with a virtualized RAN.  The focus is to develop and roll out 5G network infrastructure and services in India.  The two company’s also announced 1 Gbps milestone on the Reliance Jio 5GNR software to leverage Qualcomm 5G Ran Platforms. 

By utilizing 5G technology, users may experience higher data rates, low latency communications and enhanced digital experiences on connected devices.  Ranging from 5G enabled smartphones to enterprise laptops to AR/VR products to vertical IOT solutions.
