Waste Management to Acquire Advanced Disposal Services for USD 4.9 Billion in Cash

Waste Management Inc. (NYSE: WM) is negotiating a deal to acquire its smaller rival Advanced Disposal Services Inc. (NYSE: ADSW) for about USD 4.9 Billion in cash, according to those familiar with the matter, in what would be the biggest acquisition in its history. Texas-based Waste Management will take on $1.9 billion in net debt from its smaller rival, according to the deal.
