Autonomous trucking is ready to improve road safety and offer great efficiency across the logistics industry. The Waymo Driver is currently being figured and operating Class 8 trucks. The company has entered a broad, global, strategic partnership with Daimler Trucks. The World’s Most Experienced Driver will be combined with Daimler’s Freightliner Cascadia to enable fully autonomous driving. The fully autonomous trucks that are equipped with the Waymo Driver will be available to U.S. customers in the upcoming years as the company will explore expansion into other geographies and brands in the near future.
