Wescover, the marketplace for unique art and designs shared and sold directly by original creators, today announced the launch of its Wescover Trade Program, a community created for design professionals.
Design professionals will be able to easily source furniture, art, and decorative pieces that reflect and build their brand in each of their projects. Trade members can now access special to-the-trade pricing from more than 15,000 professional local and international creators on Wescover using their Trade account. That’s in addition to the exclusive one-of-a-kind finds that can only be purchased on Wescover.
Trade accounts are typically only offered by big-box retailers, but Wescover is democratizing the buying process by extending it to e-commerce and enabling professional buyers to shop from one account. Wescover listened to its community’s feedback when considering the program, as more than 40% of Wescover buyers are design professionals, such as interior designers, decorators, commercial spaces and others involved in making a space feel unique.
Trade consumers will enjoy personalized support, VIP sourcing from unique creators, and sneak peeks the newest products on Wescover. By using the platform, interior designers can set themselves apart as they create unique and signature interiors using creator-made pieces instead of mass-produced commodities.
“Interior designers are constantly in search of unique designs and signature pieces,” said Rachely Esman, co-founder and CEO of Wescover. “Creators’ stories matter. Where materials come from matters. The design community is moving away from mass-produced products that anyone can buy, and toward self-expression, building long-lasting relationships with creators and supporting rising talent.”
Creators can easily work with professional, vetted buyers using their Trade accounts. Through this program, Wescover is offering a unique opportunity for creators to expand their business and compete with mass-market brands. Trade buyers who are already sourcing on Wescover include interior designers and firms associated with well-known brands such as the Ace Hotel, Club Monaco stores, Sheraton, and more.
“Interior designers play a huge role in what materials, finishes, and pieces are used in a space and because of that, we have the opportunity to improve on the global impact of our projects,” said Brian McCourt, HGTV host, design expert, and contractor. “Buying local (or even just from our own continent), can infuse originality, quality, and earth-positive design into our curations.”
Wescover is a platform to shop for unique, meaningfully made items. Each piece is sold by the original creator so users can directly support artists & designers they believe in. Unique designs are personal— and so is the experience of buying one. Many pieces on Wescover are ready to ship, while others are made-to-order, customizable, or 100% collaborations between a customer and the creator.
